Clark William is our son. He was born sleeping on October 29th, 2018 at 22 weeks gestation. You can read his story here.

Our lives will never be the same after losing our sweet boy — his short life has made such an incredible impact on us and so many around us that we are forever changed by having him in our lives.

I know first-hand just how important pictures are, especially pictures of once-in-a-lifetime events. Capturing birth stories are my passion, and I love providing families these forever memories of their little one’s entrance into this world. But sometimes, much like Clark’s story, births of sweet babes don’t include taking that baby home. Instead, they are stories that stop shortly after they start. However, as I have learned with having our own little boy’s story captured, these stories need to be captured too — they need to be told. And this is where Captures for Clark comes in.

Captures for Clark, a part of Alexandria Mooney Photography, provides birth story services free of charge to families who are facing similar prognoses that we faced with Clark: saying happy birth day and goodbye all at the same time.

With Captures for Clark, your birth story coverage will be complimentary at no charge to you. Clark has taught me a lot of things in his short time with us, and one big thing is to pay it forward. Clark’s birth pictures mean the absolute world to us — I look at them daily and cry big happy tears remembering my sweet little boy and the joy he has brought to us, albeit in a very limited time. And I am forever and ever grateful to my friend and fellow photographer Victoria Allen of Fresh Pine Photography - STL Motherhood Stories for capturing these for us. Clark has inspired me to share his story, share his pictures, and use my lens to pay it forward to give others that same joy of pictures that we were given with his. I want to honor my sweet little man and keep his memory alive, and the best way I know how to do that is with my camera.

So thank you, thank you for reaching out, and thank you for your interest in allowing me to capture your birth story. I know Clark is smiling down from above with all of the captures that are being done in his honor. And hopefully bringing a bit of sunshine to a dark day.

Sharing Clark’s story has been incredibly helpful for me in our grieving process. Stillbirth and loss are things that aren’t really talked about, much less shared about. I’m trying to change that by sharing our story in hopes that even if just one person reads it they know that they are not alone; they do not have to walk this path of loss by themselves. I’ve linked below a few pieces I’ve written about my journey along this path if you’d like to take a read.
